Is my text sent to servers?
No. Unlike many other tools, ScanWeb uses your web browser's built-in Web Speech API. Your text never leaves your device, ensuring 100% privacy.
Why don't I see the language I need in the dropdown?
Available voices depend entirely on your operating system (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) and the browser you are using. If you are missing a specific language, you can add it in your OS settings under "Language & Region" or "Speech".
Can I download the read speech as an MP3 file?
Currently no. Because voice generation is done directly within your browser's audio system in real-time to preserve privacy, the Web Speech API standard does not support direct recording to an audio file.
