Unix Timestamp Converter

The Unix Timestamp (Epoch) represents the number of seconds that have elapsed since January 1, 1970. This tool allows developers fast two-way conversion—convert a human-readable date to a timestamp, or decode a timestamp back to an exact date and time in your local zone.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Does the tool use my local time zone?
Yes, the tool automatically detects your system's (browser's) time zone and performs the conversion accordingly, so you get accurate information without needing to manually calculate the offset.
What happens in 2038 with Unix time?
This is known as the 'Year 2038 problem' (Y2K38). On January 19, 2038, 32-bit systems will reach the maximum number of seconds they can store. Because of this, modern systems (and our tool) use a 64-bit architecture that does not have this limitation.
